In progress. Cartoons serve as the precursor to a series of larger polyptych paintings. These drafts are re-used, edited and altered until the fragile surfaces become littered with boot prints and taped-up rips.
Figures tussle or hold each other, intimacy both cradling and crushing. Archetypes are explored and re-examined: the Pieta, fallen heroes, mother/father figures, birth and death, scenes of love and peril.
